MISSION STATEMENT

Haverhill Community Television is a non-profit corporation developed to promote and sponsor public access television in Haverhill. Our purpose is to provide Haverhill residents and Haverhill based non-profit institutions access to the powerful medium of television.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Haverhill Community Television is to provide a medium for individuals, groups, organizations and institutions to communicate with the people of Haverhill.

What's New at Haverhill Community Television

HCTV Live Coverage of Martin Luther King Celebration a Success

On January 13, Temple Emanu-El in conjunction with Calvary Baptist Church held a celebration of the life Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The service, which has brought together members of both organizations for over two decades, was televised live on Public Access Channel 22, and streamed over our website. HCTV was proud and honored to play a role in the celebration this year.

Thank you's must go out to HCTV volunteers Bob McConihe and George Wheelock, as well as HCTV intern Brian Hough for all their hard work. Thanks!

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS AT HCTV

WInter is here, and that means the HHS and Whittier Tech winter sport seasons are in full swing. Through the efforts of HCTV volunteers Mo McGuire and Jay Lafond, we'll be bringing you the Whittier Tech Boys and Girls Varsity and Jr. Varsity Basketball Games, as well as all of the HHS Hockey home games. You can watch them every Tuesday and Thursday evening beginning at 5:00 PM on Education Channel 10, or watch them by clicking the appropriate icon at the right.

HCTV Brings the 2012 Inauguration to you LIVE

On Monday, January 2nd, the Mayor, City Council and School Committee members were sworn into office for the next 2 years. HCTV was there to bring you live coverage of the event on the Government Channel 9. The event was also recorded, and can be seen running regularly on our Public Access Channel 22, or by clicking the picture to the right.

HCTV and USAI.net Bring the City More Live Events


Since August, HCTV in cooperation with USAI.net has brought you an ever-increasing amount of live broadcasts from different events in and around the city of Haverhill. Recent live broadcasts include:

August 21: 10 hours of continuous coverage of the Haverhill River Ruckus Celebration.

October 9: A 2 hour live broadcast of Temple Emanu-El's Kol Nidre, Yom Kippur Ceremony.

November 7: Live Election reports directly from City Hall as the results came out of the City Clerk's office.

November 21: 3 hour live coverage of the 47th Annual Santa parade direct from Monument Square.

December 2: 2 hour live coverage direct from Post Office Square of the annual Haverhill Christmas Stroll.

January 1: 1 hour live coverage of the 2012 Inauguration

January 13: 2 and a half hour live broadcast of Temple Emanu-El and Calvary Baptist Church's Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration.
